This pair of small dip-glazed cups have been wheelthrown in a smooth white clay and double dipped in blue stone and white glaze, to create a slight overlap with a strong white rim.
Glazed internally in gloss white, these are both just under 8cm wide.
The pieces are slightly mismatched, with the smaller measuring just over 5cm tall with muted blue tones, and the larger around 6cm wide and the slightly thinner blue glaze baking to light tan in places. While made for sake, they're suited to any use and would make great little espresso cups - holding approximately 100mL of liquid.
Although dishwasher safe, to keep these pieces at their very best I recommend hand washing.
Each piece is hand crafted, and I value the variations in shape, glaze and size that come from authentic hand craftsmanship.
This set comes as a pair of two cups.
